Shoot it out with one opponent and 6 balls!
|
 |
The Bocce Shootout
event is open to all Bocce Club members (league
team players, league substitute players, inactive Club members) and Club
members' husbands & wives.
This is a
basically social event sponsored by the Britton Falls Bocce Club at the bocce courts
with some fun one on one competition and refreshments.
The event is typically scheduled between the completion
of league play and the start of tournament play.
The Bocce Shootout
procedure is as follows:
1.
Print your name on a name card and
deposit it in the players' bucket.
2.
Names will be drawn out in pairs to
determine who will play each other. (First name drawn is Red and throws
first. Second name drawn is Green and throws second.)
3.
The drawn pair goes to the scoreboard
end of court.
4.
The pallino is placed in the middle of
the spock foul line at the opposite end.
5.
The Red ball player throws first.
6.
Play continues as normal until one
player has the closest ball to the pallino and the other player has no
more balls to throw.
7.
The winner places their name card into
the next round winner’s bucket to be drawn later to compete in the next
round. The loser is retired from competition.
The rounds are repeated as
described above until there is a single name card in the winner’s bucket.
